Detailed description - Karakoram Prime Connect Ultra Range splitboard bindings + split kit .

The Connect line is tailored for both backcountry enthusiasts and those who enjoy resort riding. It allows for the use of both split and solid boards with a single binding. The essence of Karakoram’s philosophy is captured in their slogan: "Buy more boards, not more bindings." This binding is robust and offers significantly more comfort compared to the Alpine series, matching the performance of conventional bindings. The Karakoram Ultra Ranger reduces your setup weight by 400 grams compared to the Free Ranger, creating the lightest binding for resort-style splitboarding.
Performance With Performance an upgraded Carbon Fiber Nyolite and a 7000 series aluminum base, the Ultra Ranger maintains all the features of the Free Ranger but is 400 grams lighter per set. This allows for higher jumps, additional spins, and longer tours. It delivers a perfect combination of fluidity and power. The softer flex of the Surf Sidewall enables you to drop your knee, while the stiffer Power Sidewall provides support for powerful turns. The Reactive Highback supports your boot and alleviates pressure at the top, while the AirForm ankle strap adapts to your boot with independent pressure sections, preventing pressure points and allowing for unrestricted flex.
Comfort By merging the flexibility of the Carbon Nyolite Surf Sidewall with the support of the Power Sidewall, Karakoram has achieved an excellent balance. The binding features an EVA footbed, ensuring comfort whether you’re on your split or solid board all day. The Air-Form strap enhances fit and responsiveness, thanks to its closed design. The Air-Form Toe Straps have been streamlined by removing excess material, making them lighter and easier to adjust over your toes.
The Karakoram interface utilizes a unique lever at the heelcup, enabling easy release from the interface. The Dual Ride-Stride Forward Lean Adjuster on the highback can be rotated 90° or 180°, allowing a Forward Lean of -8° for touring and adjustable angles from 0° to 22° for riding. All Karakoram Connect bindings available at Snowcountry come with the Prime Connect 2.0 Interface, ready for use with both split and solid boards. Additionally, the Ultra Ranger features a Dual Speed Riser for skiing down during touring sections.
