With a robust baseplate design, stiffer Asym Rip 'N' Flip Highbacks, and more supportive Pillow Line Ankle Straps, riders gain enhanced control in demanding conditions.
All Surge ST bindings feature our cutting-edge Tesla T1 technology. The Smooth Touring (ST) Tech is integrated into the ST Brackets and ST Whammy Bars, showcasing components that incorporate a unique thermoplastic blend molded over metal parts. This not only reduces friction but also boosts durability and enhances touring efficiency, making the Surge ST a top choice for avid riders.

Pillow Straps

The Surge Pillow Line Straps redefine expectations, being exceptionally lightweight at 53% less weight compared to their fabric strap predecessors. Crafted with precision, these ultradurable straps boast a comfortable, waterproof, and one-piece molded construction, with the entire manufacturing process executed in-house. The strap pillows, thin and flexible, ensure a comfortable and conforming fit, while the thicker ribs, strategically kept off the boot, provide stiffness, contributing to a uniquely responsive ride.

The Surge ankle straps feature a wide and asymmetrical footprint around the boot, delivering outstanding all-around support. The toe straps, designed uniformly for both Arc and Surge models, function as versatile toe caps while also accommodating traditional placement over the top, adding to their adaptability and convenience.

Rip and Flip highback

The Surge ST Asym Rip ‘N’ Flip Highback is engineered with a substantial infusion of glass fiber fill, ensuring a rigid ride and optimal responsiveness. Notably, these bindings are equipped with distinct left and right highbacks, enhancing ergonomics, comfort, and control. The upper part of the highback is designed to be flatter, providing riders with exceptional lateral mobility.

Adding to the user-friendly features, all Rip ‘N’ Flip highbacks come with a tool-free forward lean adjuster (FLAD). This mechanism allows for effortless toggling between tour and ride modes, offering riders greater convenience and adaptability on the go.

Whammy Bar Climbing Wire

The ST Whammy Bar climbing wire is seamlessly integrated into the baseplate design. The use of overmolded plastic in the area where the bar contacts the baseplate ensures incredibly smooth adjustments of the climbing wire position, particularly in steep terrain. This innovative feature allows for effortless transitions between stowed, low (12°), high (18°), and back again while touring, providing users with convenient and efficient adaptability during their ascent.

Touring brackets

The ST Touring Brackets seamlessly integrate the superior qualities of aluminum and thermoplastics. Through a meticulous process, our custom plastic blend is overmolded over and through the holes in the aluminum base, creating durable bushings that surpass the longevity of their predecessor, the brass version, by a factor of four.
