• The Howler is a next level directional freeride board built for making steep, technical terrain your playground. The minimally tapered directional shape is matched with a hybrid full camber profile that offers insane pop, stability and edge hold. Designed in collaboration with Victor De Le Rue and Elena Hight, the Howler is ready to float down spine lines and stomp huge airs with authority.
• From its flex and profile to its construction and shape, the Howler is built to charge big lines without sacrificing freestyle performance. A powerful camber profile and reactive core provide the stability and response for heavy terrain, while its blunted, minimally tapered shape keeps freestyle at the heart of its design.

Key benefits

• Matching a mid-stiff flex with a unique full camber profile that extends the apex of the camber past the back inserts is what gives the Howler such stomping power. The extra camber in the tail makes the Howler super poppy on takeoff and incredibly stable on touchdown.
• Its construction features ultralight Koroyd in the nose section of the wood core to decrease swing weight and Bcomp Carbon/Flax stringers under both bindings to suck up chatter and add torsional stiffness. 3D Flip Tips improve float and help the nose and tail slice through variable snow.
• The Howler’s blunted and minimally tapered shape offers the float benefits of taper without compromising switch riding performance. The shape also maximizes effective edge length, allowing the Howler to be ridden shorter than a traditional freeride snowboard. Victor rides the Howler 161cm on the Freeride World Tour.

• Power core - Advanced triple-density full wood core made from responsibly harvested Bamboo, Paulownia and Poplar. Centered Bamboo stringers enhance durability, pop and torsional stiffness, while the Paulownia keeps the core light and damp.
• Koroyd - Developed from aerospace technology, award-winning Koroyd synthetic core material is the lightest core dampening material we’ve ever tested. It absorbs vibrations and reduces tip swing weight, enabling quicker, smoother turns
• Triax Fiberglass - a dual-direction, dual-layer, stitched fiberglass laminate that provides a fun, forgiving and snappy ride.
• BComp Carbon / Flax stringers offer the perfect performance balance as the carbon provides crazy pop and the flax sucks up chatter and reduces CO₂ emissions compared to a full carbon stringer. Developed in collaboration with the Swiss engineering firm BComp.
• Bio Resn - is a bio-based epoxy made with 27% plant-based carbon instead of petroleum-based carbon. The organicc raw materials used to make bio-resin are co-products or waste products of plant-based industrial processes. Bio-resin requires 33% less greenhouse gas emissions to produce than conventional epoxy.
• Oversized Recycked Edges - All Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges for added durability and improved production sustainability.
• Recycled ABS Sidewalls - ABS Plastic is one of the necessary evils of snowboard production. We improve the sustainability of our snowboards by using only recycled plastic.
• Factory Tuned - all Jones Snowboards are factory de-tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain.
• Premium Eco topsheet - Durable and scratch resistant bio-plastic topsheet made from castor beans that’s engineered to provide exceptional abrasion and impact resistance while minimizing environmental impact.
• Flip-Flop Base - Producing two or more base color options minimizes p-tex waste. Order may be filled with either color. Color does not vary by size.
• Sintered 8000 base - Premium sintered base material that’s ultra fast,highly wax absorbent, easy to repair and proven to be one of the most durable and long lasting base materials in the industry
